So today I’m working on the final touches on this piece called Sodom. It’s a poem that I’m proud to write; it stands up for the parts of the bible that speak about hope, love, and compassion, and also confronts the tone of homophobia in christian fundamentalist communities. It’s pretty badass already, we just gotta spice up a couple parts. I’m also working on this piece that we’re calling “Smoke & Mirrors”. It’ll approach the problem of public figures disrespecting their civil duty with sexual misconduct. It’ll have some funny, some serious, and all around a solid piece. I’m excited!
